easiest cookies ever

no photos yet, but some will come!

love those little palmiers or elephant ears? super simple.

defrost puff pastry.

roll out a bit, keeping a nice rectangular or square shape.

sprinkle liberally with sugar, about 1/2 cup for two sheets.

fold sides over 1/4 of the way, then once again for both, then in half for the two halves of the heart shape.

refrigerate for an hour.

preheat over to 375 f.

cut into 1/4-1/2 in slices and dip cut side into sugar, placing this side face down on parchment paper or foil covering a baking sheet.

set timer for about 12 minutes, remove when sugar has caramelizezd! cookies will be done at different times so be careful! let cool bottoms up on cooling rack!

so easy, so good. my house smells like caramel and butter.
